How we rank and reach conclusions
Lay the method out, and you can judge whether a conclusion is worth trusting.
Where our information comes from
We compile public industry information, brand product materials and public user discussion, organized and summarized by our editors. We do not scrape or repost copyrighted content; quoted opinions are attributed.
What we check, by category
- Solid wood: species, whether it's all solid wood, joinery (mortise-and-tenon / edge banding), moisture content, hardware and load-bearing.
- Sofas: type (fabric / leather / recliner), seat feel and fill, after-sales coverage.
- Mattresses: firmness and support, springs vs latex, breathable fabric, whether you can try it lying down.
- Custom cabinetry: board eco-grade, hardware, pricing method (projected area vs running meter), design and installation.
- Lighting: color rendering, flicker, color temperature, smart ecosystem.
- Kids' furniture: eco-safety (solid wood or ENF-grade board), safety (rounded corners / wall-anchoring), adjustability.
How rankings are formed
Rankings are editorial opinion, and each piece states its ranking criteria (such as value, reputation or craftsmanship). They are a starting point to narrow your options, not an absolute verdict. Adjust for your budget, region and local stores.
About prices
Prices in our content are reference ranges. Furniture prices swing a lot with promotions, configuration and region, so always confirm with the official brand.
Disclosure
We currently do not charge to change rankings or conclusions. If we ever add paid partnerships or affiliate links, we will label them clearly, and they will not affect editorial independence.
How to use our content
Treat it as a starting point: use comparisons and rankings to narrow down, then confirm prices and specs with the brand, try things in person where you can (lie on the mattress, see the real item, measure), and then buy.
